Specular Warranty

We Built It to Last and We Mean It

Most warranties exist because lawyers require them. This one exists because we actually believe in what we built. The OG1 is precision machined from a solid block of 304 stainless steel. Real material, real machining, real performance over time. If a manufacturing defect undermines that, we will repair or replace it. No runaround.

 

What This Warranty Covers

Manufacturing defects under normal, intended use, including:

  • Defects in materials or workmanship present at delivery
  • Mechanical issues that prevent normal grinder function
  • Defects or seating failures in any of the three magnetic closures (top lid, mid chamber, or base) caused by a manufacturing error
  • Structural defects not caused by misuse or accidental damage

304 stainless steel does not wear the way aluminum does. Under normal use, the teeth stay sharp. If they do not, that is a defect and we cover it. Cosmetic defects such as scratches or blemishes must be reported when you first receive your order.

 

What This Warranty Does Not Cover

We will be straight with you about the limits.

  • Grinding rocks, sand, or mineral-contaminated material
  • Grit, dirt, or abrasive particles introduced into the chamber
  • Metal tools, wire brushes, or abrasives used on the blades
  • Non-plant materials
  • Drops, impacts, or accidental damage
  • Placing the grinder in a dishwasher
  • Soaking any part in water for extended periods
  • Leaving the grinder wet after cleaning
  • Harsh chemicals, bleach, or abrasive cleaners
  • Surface rust on magnet housings caused by insufficient drying after wet cleaning
  • Modifications or repairs by anyone other than Specular
  • Normal surface wear or finish changes over time
  • Lost or stolen products

Specular reserves the right to determine whether an issue qualifies as a covered claim based on inspection and the information provided.

 

A Note on the O-Ring

Every OG1 ships with an O-ring that sits between the grinding chamber and the base. It softens the feel of the rotation for people who prefer a slightly cushioned grind. It does not affect grinding performance either way. The OG1 performs exactly the same with or without it. Try both and use what feels right.

Because the O-ring is a personal preference component and not a structural or performance part of the grinder, it is not covered under this warranty. Replacement O-rings are available by contacting us at shopspecular.com.

 

Warranty Period

Limited lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects under normal use. Applies to the original purchaser only. Non-transferable.

 

How to File a Claim

Email support@shopspecular.com with:

  1. Your order number or proof of purchase
  2. A clear description of the issue
  3. Photos or video showing the defect

We respond to every claim within 5 business days.

Do not ship your grinder back before you hear from us. Claims must be reviewed and approved before any return is accepted. Unauthorized returns cannot be processed.

If your claim is approved, we will send you a prepaid return label. Once we receive the unit, we will repair or replace it at our discretion and ship it back to you at no charge.
